Our Vision

Society of Iranian Psychiatrists of North America (SIPNA) is a professional, non-profit, non-political organization that was founded in 1982 by Dr. Iraj Siassi. SIPNA aims to connect Iranian psychiatrists of North America. In addition, SIPNA promotes, generates and disseminates scholarly information and research on psychiatry and related fields among mental health professionals of Iranian origin.

Our Objectives

1- Establishment of and maintenance of communication and ties among  our colleagues who share the proud persoan heritage.

2-to provide the educational and cultural information related to the field of psychiatry for Iranians in this country and Iran and other countries abroad the other countries.

3-To assist Iranian Physicians who are interested in psychiatric training in the US and Canada.

4-to maintain an up-to-date directory of psychiatrists in North America.

5-to establish direct connection through the website with the  Iranian psychiatric Association and psychitric associations of iranians in other countries.

6-Encourage psychiatric research among Iranian psychiatrists by providing them with the forum for in our website.

Our Mission

1. Promoting public awareness for mental health and psychiatric disorders

2. Supporting our community with arrangement of referral mechanism for Iranians in need of professional help with promotion of the highest quality care for individuals with mental illness

3. Facilitating scholarly research by promoting collaboration between SIPNA members

4. Acting as a liaison between international medical and psychiatric associations for educational and cultural exchange

5. Maintaining close relationship with Iranian medical and psychiatric societies

6. Providing a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge, scholarly works, and publications

7. Organizing scientific meetings for physicians and conducting educational conferences for the public
